How long is the actual course?
The Close Protection Operatives Course runs for 9 days. It is a live-in program on the Gold Coast. You finish with four national certs. These include the Certificate III in Close Protection. Asset College, RTO 31718, gives out these certs.
What happens after the course?
A cert is not the same as a licence. Most states need a state security licence before you can work. Each state runs its own steps. Wait time is set by that state, not by Panoptic. Contact your state’s licence office early. Apply as soon as you hold your Certificate III.
Do all four certs arrive at the same time?
Yes. You get all four certs on the same day, at the end of the 9-day course. This includes the Panoptic CP Graduate Certificate. It also includes the Certificate III in Close Protection. You get an Advanced First Aid cert too. And a Firearms Safety cert, Category H. You use these certs together for your licence form.
